NEXT LEVEL SPORTS TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT 
To help members development, Next Level Sports Training & Development offers classes focused on various fundamental skill areas.  Session descriptions below are listed by skill level and each session is marked with the color training track.    

LITTLE BALLER CLASS

Entry Level - Designed for kids new to the sport and are 5, 6 and 7 years old.

Session for Little Ballers:

  • Little Baller

LITTLE BALLER

Learn basic right hand and left hand dribbling (stationary and with movement), basic passing, triple threat position, basic shooting form and follow through, rules of basketball, basic basketball terminology, etc.  Class is 1 hour long.

LEVEL 1 CLASSES - BEGINNER 

Beginner Sessions are a great way to start if you are new to the sport or have little experience in the game of basketball.  Next Level Sports Training & Development takes pride in properly introducing and developing our young athletes by their abilities.  Skills for beginners will be concentrated on Triple Threat possibilities, basic ball handling, basic passing, right and left hand lay-ups, shooting fundamentals, basic defensive stance and body movement, etc.

BEGINNER SKILLS TRAINING

Learn the fundamentals of basketball.  These sessions utilize innovative drills to improve dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense and agility (footwork).  The sessions are 1-hour long and are designed for those new to the sport or with little experience.

BASIC BALL HANDLING

Basic Ball Handling concentrates on the one fundamental area that will help with just about all other areas of the game.  Basic Ball Handling works on developing right and left hand control, developing hand-eye coordination, etc.

BASIC SHOOTING

Basic Shooting is designed to develop an athlete's shooting form and technique. Create muscle memory as players take shooting from the basics, work it through a step by step breakdown of a jump shot and work through the proper fundamentals of right and left hand lay ups.

FUNDAMENTALS OF DEFENSE

Fundamentals of Defense is the first part of becoming the Ultimate Defender.  Players will learn proper body and hand positioning, how to properly slide and use hand positioning to defend the pass and crossover, work on defensive first step, etc.  

LEVEL 2 CLASSES - INTERMEDIATE

At this level, players will continue to develop into a complete player.  The classes are great for those athletes that have some experience, want to play club ball or school team or just want to improve their individual skills.  Skills for intermediate players focuses more on the development of individual skills.

INTERMEDIATE SKILLS TRAINING

Intermediate Skills Training picks up the pace and introduces more aspects of the game.  Main focus is on the fundamentals - ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense and agility (footwork).

INTERMEDIATE
BALL HANDLING

The main focus of this class is on controlling the basketball - not only in dribbling but also ball control in passing and shooting. Develop right and left hand control, develop hand-eye coordination, use body and footwork to enhance the ball handling effects, etc.

SHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS

Shooting Fundamentals is the next step in the shooting progression.  Members will learn step-by-step how to perform a Pull Up Jumper, Step Back, Floaters, etc.  Members will also work on how to increase their shooting range.

SCORING BASICS

Scoring Basics is designed to develop our members "moves" to score. Introduction to basic moves like the Euro Step, Spin Move, Floater, etc.  Members will work their mid-range and finishing moves.  Learn the importance of having various "moves" in your game.

DEFENSIVE ESSENTIALS

Defense Essentials is designed to introduce the fundamentals of being a shutdown defender.  Players will learn proper body and hand positioning, how to properly slide and use hand positioning to defend pass and crossover and work on defensive first step.  Players will also work on proper box out techniques for rebounding.

BASKETBALL CONDITIONING

Basketball Conditioning is the first step into getting into Basketball shape.  Complete workout and drills to play late in a game. Basketball Conditioning will help young athletes improve their focus while improving their stamina.  

LEVEL 3 CLASSES - GAME DAY TRAINING

At this level, players will continue to develop into a complete player.  The classes are great for those athletes that have some experience, want to play club ball or school team or just want to improve their individual skills.  Skills for intermediate players focuses more on the development of individual skills.

GAME DAY
SKILLS TRAINING

Focused on the fundamentals, the athletes pick up the pace with the introduction of positional responsibilities and game like situations.  The class not only builds the athlete's confidence but also broadens their understanding of the game.

GAME DAY
HANDLES

Game Day Handles teaches players how to handle the ball to help you score more, break down defenses, deliver that crisp and accurate pass using game situational drills.  Build confidence in your ability to handle the ball.  Develop right and left hand control, develop hand-eye coordination, use body and footwork to enhance the ball handling effects, and more.

GAME DAY
SHOOTING

Game Day Shooting works on players body position, foot work and shooting form to create a shot with a quick release and proper follow through.  Members will also work on how to effectively perform Reverse Lay-Ups, Inside Hand Lay Ups, and more.

SCORING

This class is designed to teach athlete's tips and techniques to increase their scoring average by applying various basketball moves.  Learn the basics on how to take advantage of your defender, working the mid-range and perimeter game, finishing at the rim, scoring without the ball, etc.  Create shots by controlling your defenders.

COMPLETE DEFENDER

Complete Defender is the second phase of becoming an effective defensive player.  Players continue their development by learning how to deny the pass, understand the responsibility of zone and man defenses, etc.  Players will also work on proper box out techniques for rebounding.  Players will begin to understand when and how to be aggressive in their defense.

GAME DAY 
POSITIONAL TRAINING

Learn your position's roles and responsibilities.  Learn to read the floor, attack the defense, deliver crisp and accurate passes, play the post and high post - GET CONTROL OF YOUR OFFENSE.  This program teaches the offensive and defensive skills needed for each position.  Learn to a more effective player.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SKILLS TRAINING

This class is designed to work on the skills and drills needed to play Middle School Basketball.  Work on areas that coaches look for - Right and Left hand layups, Ball Handling, Shooting, Passing, etc.  Learn how to properly perform team drills like the 3-man weave and the Layup Horseshoe drill.

ACTIVE STRETCHING FOR ATHLETES

This class will assist with active stretching to help with body flexibility, range of motion, balance, etc.  Great way to prepare the body for athletic activities.  To attend this class, athletes must be in 7th grade and higher.   

LEVEL 4 CLASSES - ADVANCED

In this section we ramp up the training and began to develop the player to be elite.  These sessions and programs challenge athletes, both physically and mentally, to push them selves to meet their basketball goals and objectives.  If it is to be a leader of their team, play at the high school level or just to become a better player - these workouts will get them there.

ADVANCED
SKILLS TRAINING

With the Advanced Player in mind, we focus on all areas of the game with a high concentration on ball handling.  Next Level moves to the advanced drills by implementing tools like tennis balls, medicine balls, resistance bands and heavy balls.  Maneuvers like reverse lay ups, pocket passes, and taking a charge are areas covered in these sessions.

ADVANCED HANDLES

Learn and practive advance drills to execute dribbling moves such as wrap-arounds, advanced hesitation moves, etc..  Perform proper passing moves like the no-look pass, behind the back, alley-oop, etc.  Focus is more on body placement and control.

ADVANCED SHOOTING

Players work on shooting drills to improve a quicker release, ball placement, body control, balance and power.  Players also begin to perform advanced game time shots like the fade away and turnaround jump shots.

ADVANCED
SCORING

Advanced Scoring is about the moves and techniques to increase their in game scoring.  Moves like tip-ins, Rondo Series, Finger Roll, Pick and Roll options, and more will be covered in this program.  Be ready to "Read and React" and learn the importance of adding various “moves” to your game.

ULTIMATE DEFENDER

Becoming the Ultimate Defender is what this program is all about. We build on footwork, body and hand positioning, reading and identifying opponents tendencies, how to anticipate a players next move, etc. Defense is about ATTITUDE - learn how to become a smart and aggressive defensive player.

ADVANCED POSITIONAL TRAINING

Learn how to become a leader of your team by understanding the game from the coach’s clipboard.  Learn how to communicate with your teammates, understand who on your team are the shooters, the ball handlers, etc.  Start to build court awareness and understand what you need to do to become a player and teammate.

ACTIVE STRETCHING FOR ATHLETES

LEVEL 5 CLASSES - ELITE (Invite Only)

Elite Training is an invite only class that is reserved for those Elite players planning to take their game to College and beyond.  Tools to keep up with the fast pace of Basketball - Dr. Dish Shooting Gun, Strength and Vertical Training, Vertimax, etc.  Goal setting and tracking is included as well as discussions on nutrition and conditioning outside of the gym.  This class focuses on both the physical and mental side of the game.

College Success Program

Works on the Fundamental areas of Basketball as well as strength and vertical training.  Covers both the physical and mental side of the game.
